| In order to discuss some weak convergence theorems for nonexpansive mappings, we introduce a notion of a sequence of nonexpansive mappings, which is called a strongly nonexpansive sequence. We investigate some properties of such sequences and prove weak convergence theorems. Then we deal with some applications for monotone operators.
